Specific to Bear
Your notes and attachments are stored in a single database within a group container rather than as separate files. This data, ranging from 200 MB – 5 GB, remains on your disk after the app is gone. You only lose this information if you manually delete the folder ~/Library/Group Containers/9K33E3U3T4.net.shinyfrog.bear.
Where your Bear data lives
These folders hold your own Bear data. Deleting the app leaves them in place; removing them is what actually deletes it.

- Bear Pro is an App Store subscription managed in your Apple Account, not cancelled by deleting the app.

Syncing and licenses for Bear
If you have a Pro subscription, your notes sync via iCloud and are kept in your account. Without this active sync, your writing exists only on this Mac. Since the license is an Apple Account subscription, deleting the app does not cancel it.
