GarageBand cache folders you can clear

GarageBand has no separate cache folder. Its folders hold settings and your own data, so there is nothing to clear safely by hand.

What the GarageBand cache holds and when clearing it helps

Specific to GarageBand

Typical GarageBand data is 1 GB – 30 GB, and most of it is the sound library kept outside the app, which Logic Pro also uses. Keep that library while any related app is installed. Clearing the cache makes sense when the app runs slowly, will not start properly, or you urgently need space. Your songs are stored separately and are not part of the cache.

What changes after you clear the GarageBand cache

The app rebuilds its cache the next time you open it, so the first launch will be slower than usual. Your projects remain where they were. Settings may reset, so check your preferences once the app is running. If it asks you to sign in, use your Apple Account.
