Clear MEGA Cache on Mac
To clear the MEGA cache, quit the app first, then move the Mega Limited folder in Application Support to the Trash, after checking whether the app offers its own cache option. Your files stay in your encrypted account and in your synced folders, so clearing the cache does not touch your documents.

MEGA has no separate cache folder. Its folders hold settings and your own data, so there is nothing to clear safely by hand.
What the MEGA cache holds
Specific to MEGA
The cache is the Mega Limited folder in Application Support, and it holds transfer state and logs rather than your files. Clearing it helps when the app is slow or that folder has grown toward the typical size of 500 MB – 10 GB. Synced folders are a different case: they can grow because MEGA keeps deleted and replaced files in a hidden .debris folder inside each synced folder, and clearing the cache does not empty those. If synced folders are the real problem, check them separately.
What happens after you clear the MEGA cache
Clearing the cache does not cancel your plan, which is tied to your account, and your encrypted files stay in your account. Synced folders remain on your Mac, and the cache clear does not change them. The app may need to rebuild its transfer state and logs, so the first start afterwards could be slower, though this is possible rather than certain. Whether you need to sign in again is not covered here, so sign in as usual if asked.
