The folder ~/Documents/ScreenFlow Documents holds your recordings and documents. Each .screenflow file bundles the full raw screen, camera and audio capture, so a short exported video can come from a document many gigabytes in size. Clearing space helps when documents take that much room even after you have exported what you need. Older versions also installed an audio driver for recording computer sound, which stays until it is removed, so check for it if you no longer record system sound. If the app offers a way to reduce its own storage, use that first.

What changes after you clear ScreenFlow space

Your own recordings and documents stay in place unless you remove them yourself, and deleting the app does not delete that folder. Move any document you no longer need to the Trash rather than emptying it straight away, because items in the Trash can be restored until it is emptied. Whether the app asks you to sign in again depends on how you licensed it, so keep your serial number or your Mac App Store account ready. Expect the app to behave as it did before, with your files unchanged.
