What the Streamlabs cache holds

Specific to Streamlabs

Those three subfolders hold web content, compiled JavaScript and GPU shader data, and they grow with use. Streamlabs is an Electron app built on OBS, so the same support folder also holds your scene collections and settings, which are your own data and must stay. Clearing the cache makes sense when that folder has grown to several gigabytes from cache and logs, or when the app's web panels look stale. Your recordings go to the folder set in the output settings and are not touched.

What happens after you clear Streamlabs

The first launch will be slower while the three cache folders are rebuilt. Your scene collections and settings stay in place. If you sign in with Twitch, YouTube or another platform, the app may ask you to sign in again, so complete that sign-in when prompted. Recordings already saved are unaffected.

Why is the first start slower after clearing?

The app rebuilds the three cache folders, which takes extra time. Speed returns to normal once they are rebuilt.

Where is the folder if I can't see it?

The Library folder is hidden by default. In Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder to reach it, then open the slobs-client folder.
