Files left by the Riot Client

Specific to Riot Client

Dragging the app to the Trash leaves behind settings, logs, and shared game metadata. These reside in your user Library and a shared system folder, totaling 500 MB – 10 GB. Because this data is shared with other apps from the same company, you should keep it if any other related software remains installed.

Background items
The Riot Client runs in the background to keep Riot games updated.
Account and sync
Your games, skins and progress are stored in your Riot account, not on the Mac.

Preparing the Riot Client for removal

Since the app runs in the background to keep games updated, you must quit it fully before deletion. Be aware that titles like League of Legends rely on it to launch and update. Removing it will prevent those dependent games from functioning correctly.
