The cache consists primarily of user-level log files stored in ~/.local/share/karabiner. Clearing these files helps when you notice unexpected behavior in key remappings or when troubleshooting errors. Since these logs are rebuilt automatically, removing them does not impact the functionality of the utility.
After clearing Karabiner-Elements logs
