How to Completely Uninstall Canva on Mac

To remove Canva, quit the app and drag its icon to the Trash. Since the app is a wrapper around a web editor, simply deleting the application does not remove all associated system files.

What Canva leaves behind

Specific to Canva

Dragging the app to the Trash preserves folders containing settings and cached images and fonts. These remnants typically occupy 200 MB – 5 GB of space. Because the software stores temporary assets locally, these files remain in your Library until you remove them manually via Finder > Go > Go to Folder.

Account and sync
All Canva designs are stored in your Canva account.

Preparing to uninstall Canva

Your designs are stored in the cloud and will remain in your account regardless of the local installation status. However, any files previously saved to your computer reside in your Downloads folder. Ensure you have identified the correct login credentials before removal to maintain access to your work.

Will my design projects disappear if I delete the app?
No, because all designs are stored in your account rather than locally.
Why is there still a large folder left after uninstalling?
