Manual cleanup steps

  1. Quit the app completely (⌘+Q in the menu bar).

  4. Empty the Trash to free up the space.

Locations are the standard macOS folders Craft uses; some appear only after you use the matching feature.

What happens when you remove Craft

Specific to Craft

Dragging the app to the Trash does not delete its associated folders or your documents. Sandboxed data including images, settings, and local-only spaces remain in the library, occupying between 500 MB – 10 GB. These files persist because macOS separates the application binary from the user container to protect your information.

License
Craft paid plans are subscriptions tied to your Craft account or Apple Account and are not cancelled by deleting the app.
Account and sync
Craft documents sync to your Craft account; the Mac keeps a local copy of spaces you open.

Preparing to uninstall Craft

Before removal, ensure all offline edits have uploaded to your account. You must manually handle any spaces designated for local-only storage as they are not synced to the cloud. Since the app is sandboxed, you can find remaining data via Finder > Go > Go to Folder using the path ~/Library/Containers/com.lukilabs.lukiapp.

Frequently asked questions

Not all of them. Folders marked “Back up first: your data” hold your own Craft data: back them up before removing them. Items marked “Yes, once the app is gone” only matter while Craft is installed, so remove them after the app.
Will deleting the app cancel my paid subscription?
No, paid plans are tied to your Craft or Apple Account and must be cancelled separately.
Can I recover my documents after emptying the Trash?
Cloud-synced spaces will download again upon signing in, but deleted local-only spaces cannot be recovered.
