How to Completely Uninstall MindNode on Mac

To uninstall MindNode, quit the app and drag it from the Applications folder to the Trash. Because it is a document-based application, removing the app alone does not delete your mind maps or system support folders.

What MindNode leaves behind

Specific to MindNode

Dragging the app to the Trash leaves behind sandboxed data, including settings, autosaves, and caches. These are stored in folders like ~/Library/Containers/com.mindnode.MindNode, along with a macOS-created sandbox script folder. This residual data typically occupies 100 MB – 1 GB. Your actual mind map files remain untouched in iCloud Drive or your chosen local directory.

License
MindNode paid features are bought through the App Store and restore with the same Apple Account.

Preparing to remove MindNode

Before deletion, ensure all work is synced to iCloud Drive or Documents. Since the app is document-based, you should manually back up any custom assets. You do not need to deactivate your license, as paid features are linked to your Apple Account and restore automatically upon reinstallation.
