How to Completely Uninstall pCloud on Mac

To remove pCloud, quit the application and drag it from the Applications folder to the Trash. Since the app creates a virtual drive, simply deleting the executable does not remove all associated system files.

Manual cleanup steps

  1. Quit the app completely (⌘+Q in the menu bar).

  3. Remove the folders pCloud left behind, listed in the table below.
  4. Empty the Trash to free up the space.

Locations are the standard macOS folders pCloud uses; some appear only after you use the matching feature.

Residual files left by pCloud

Specific to pCloud

Dragging the app to the Trash leaves behind app data, caches, and logs in Application Support, as well as a local cache and database in ~/.pcloud. These remnants, which can occupy 500 MB – 10 GB, remain on your disk because they are stored outside the main application bundle. Deleting the app alone does not remove these folders or your personal documents.

License
pCloud plans are tied to your pCloud account and are not cancelled by deleting the app.
Account and sync
Files are stored in your pCloud account; pCloud Drive shows them as a virtual drive without keeping full copies locally.

Preparing to remove pCloud

Because the app mirrors your cloud storage virtually, ensure all pending uploads finish to avoid losing recent changes. Your subscription plan is tied to your account and will not be cancelled by removing the software. To access the hidden Library folder for manual cleanup, use Finder > Go > Go to Folder.

No, licenses are tied to your account and are not cancelled by deleting the software.
What happens to the virtual drive after removal?
