How to Completely Uninstall Roblox on Mac

To uninstall Roblox, drag the application icon to the Trash. Because the app streams games from servers, it stores local assets and logs totaling 500 MB – 10 GB that remain on your system after the app is gone.

What Roblox leaves behind

Specific to Roblox

Dragging the app to the Trash does not remove associated folders or user documents. It leaves behind cached web data, preference files, and log files that are rebuilt automatically upon reinstallation. Local storage containing settings and downloaded game assets also persists in the library.

Account and sync
Your avatar, friends, purchases and game progress are stored in your Roblox account.

Preparing to remove Roblox

Ensure you have access to the account since avatar, friend, and purchase data are stored online rather than locally. You should handle any unsaved work in the development environment first. Once prepared, fully close both the player and studio components before deletion.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Folders marked “Yes, rebuilt automatically” are rebuilt automatically; removing them only makes the next start slower. Folders marked “Yes, settings reset” hold settings, which return to their defaults. Items marked “Yes, once the app is gone” only matter while Roblox is installed, so remove them after the app.
Where are the remaining files located?
Most are in the hidden ~/Library folder, accessible via Finder > Go > Go to Folder.
Will I lose my game progress after uninstalling?
No, because your progress, purchases, and friends are saved to your account.
