What TIDAL leaves behind

Specific to TIDAL

Dragging the app to the Trash preserves local data ranging from 500 MB – 20 GB. Because it is an Electron-style app, it stores cached audio, artwork, and your login session in a separate directory. These files remain on your Mac until you manually remove them from the hidden Library folder.

Account and sync
Playlists and favourites live in your TIDAL account; the Mac only keeps a cache and the login session.

Preparing to remove TIDAL

Certain local configurations are not synced to your account. You should document any custom audio output settings before deletion, as these are stored locally. Signing out within the interface ensures your session is deactivated before the software is removed.
