What happens when you uninstall Ulysses

Specific to Ulysses

Dragging the app to the Trash leaves behind sandboxed data, settings, and local backups. Because the app stores texts in its own library rather than as loose files, these remain in the Containers folder. This stored data typically ranges from 200 MB – 2 GB and stays on your disk until manually deleted.

License
Ulysses is a subscription bought in the App Store or used through Setapp, and deleting the app does not cancel it.
Account and sync
Ulysses usually syncs its library through iCloud; texts stored On My Mac exist only on this computer.

Preparing to remove Ulysses

Before deletion, ensure all your work is synced to iCloud or exported locally. Since some texts exist only On My Mac, they will be lost if you delete the container without exporting them first. Also, remember that removing the software does not automatically cancel your active subscription.
