The Skylum folder in ~/Library/Application Support holds the app's settings, catalog data and cache together. Clearing the cache helps when the app feels sluggish or behaves oddly. Your original photos stay in their own folders, and your edits live in the catalog, so the Skylum folder is not a cache-only space. Removing the app's data removes all edits, so treat that folder with care.
What changes after you clear the Luminar Neo cache
Once the cache is cleared, the app rebuilds it as you work, so the first start afterwards is slower than usual. Your edits stay in the catalog, so they are still there when the rebuild finishes. Because licences are linked to your Skylum account, you may be asked to sign in again. Later launches should return to normal speed.
