Dragging the app to the Trash does not remove associated library folders, which typically occupy 200 MB – 2 GB. These include network cookies, web view storage, and preference files that are normally rebuilt automatically upon reinstallation. A separate container and script folder for the widget extension also remain on your drive. Only manually deleting these directories via the hidden Library folder clears this remaining data.
