What LibreOffice leaves behind

Specific to LibreOffice

Dragging the app to the Trash does not delete your user profile, extensions, or document backups. It also leaves several container and script folders used for Quick Look previews and thumbnails. These remaining items occupy between 100 MB – 2 GB of space. Because these folders contain your personal settings and recovery files, they remain on your Mac until you manually delete them.

License
LibreOffice is free, open-source software with no license or account to deactivate.

Preparing to uninstall LibreOffice

Before removal, ensure you have handled all data stored within the user profile. Since all settings live in one folder, deleting it resets the app to defaults. You should check for any pending document recoveries while the app is still active. Your actual documents are stored wherever you chose and are not affected by removing the application or its profile.
