How to Completely Uninstall Todoist on Mac

To uninstall Todoist, quit the app and drag it to the Trash. Because it stores a local cache of your account data, simply removing the application does not delete all associated system files.

Files left behind by Todoist

Specific to Todoist

Dragging the app to the Trash leaves behind a support folder containing a local cache of tasks and web data. This directory typically occupies 100 MB – 1 GB and remains on your Mac until removed manually via the hidden ~/Library folder. Since the app rebuilds this cache upon signing in again, these files are essentially temporary copies of your cloud account.

License
Todoist paid plans are subscriptions tied to your Todoist account and are not cancelled by deleting the app.
Account and sync
Tasks and projects are stored in your Todoist account; the Mac keeps a local cache.

Preparing to remove Todoist

Ensure the app has synced all offline changes to your account before deletion. Your tasks and projects live in your account rather than in local files, but backups should be created manually if needed. Note that paid subscriptions are tied to your account and will remain active even after the software is gone.
