Clear DBeaver Cache on Mac

The safe way to clear the DBeaver cache is to remove only the drivers folder, which holds downloaded JDBC drivers and is rebuilt automatically. Your connections, scripts and settings sit in the rest of the workspace and stay where they are. If the app offers its own cache option, use that first.

DBeaver cache folders you can clear

These folders are rebuilt automatically, so removing them does not touch your own files.

Locations are the standard macOS folders DBeaver uses; some appear only after you use the matching feature.

What the DBeaver cache holds and when clearing it helps

Specific to DBeaver

The workspace under ~/Library/DBeaverData holds your connections, saved SQL scripts, project settings and downloaded JDBC drivers, and the connections and scripts are your own data. Only the drivers folder inside it is cache, and it is recreated when needed. Clearing it helps when that folder has grown large or when connections fail with stale driver files. If neither sign appears, there is usually no reason to clear anything.

What happens after you clear the DBeaver cache

After you clear the drivers folder, the next launch downloads the drivers again, so the first start and first connections take longer than usual. Your connections, saved scripts and project settings remain in place and do not need to be recreated. If you removed the folder by mistake, the Trash keeps it until you empty the Trash.
