Clear Hyper Cache on Mac

To clear the Hyper cache, quit the app and move three cache folders to the Trash: Cache, Code Cache and GPUCache. The app rebuilds them automatically, so the next launch is simply a little slower.

Hyper cache folders you can clear

These folders are rebuilt automatically, so removing them does not touch your own files.

Locations are the standard macOS folders Hyper uses; some appear only after you use the matching feature.

What the Hyper cache holds and when clearing helps

Specific to Hyper

These three folders hold temporary copies of web content, compiled JavaScript and GPU shader data, which the app creates so it loads faster. Clearing them can help with display glitches, garbled text or a noticeably slow start. Your configuration file and plugins are stored elsewhere, so they are not part of the cache. Never remove the whole support folder, because it also contains your own data.

What happens after you clear the Hyper cache

Your settings and plugins stay exactly as they were, and nothing needs reinstalling. The cache folders are recreated as the app runs, so the first start may take a little longer. Nothing in these folders is your configuration, so you should not need to set anything up again.
